Heavy rain in the four Kazusa cities: evacuation orders, train suspensions and expressway closures
Evacuation orders remain in parts of Kimitsu, Futtsu and Sodegaura, with elderly evacuation guidance in Kisarazu. The Uchibo and Kururi lines are suspended for the day, and sections of the Ken-O and Tateyama expressways are closed.
Evacuation orders in Kimitsu, Futtsu and Sodegaura
As of the evening of September 7, Level 4 evacuation orders remain in parts of Kimitsu, Futtsu and Sodegaura. Level 3 evacuation guidance for elderly and vulnerable residents remains in landslide-risk areas of Kisarazu. Shelters are open in all four cities.
Uchibo and Kururi lines suspended for the day
The Uchibo Line is suspended between Kimitsu and Awa-Kamogawa, while the entire Kururi Line is suspended between Kisarazu and Kazusa-Kameyama. No replacement buses are operating.
Ken-O and Tateyama expressway closures
The Ken-O Expressway is closed between Kisarazu JCT and Mobara-Chonan IC, and the Tateyama Expressway is closed between Kimitsu IC and Futtsu-Takeoka IC. Reopening times were not available in the 4:00 p.m. NEXCO East update.
