Kimitsu road update: no through passage on Boso Skyline

The city’s email received at 15:24 warns that Boso Skyline (Route 92) cannot be used for through travel toward Kamogawa or Seiwa, even though part of Sasa is passable.

The 15:00 city update also lists Route 410 from Tabina to the Kamogawa boundary as passable. Single-lane and other restrictions may remain; this is not a citywide reopening.

Kimitsu announced on September 22 that Route 465 at Futairi (二入) and parts of two roads at Sasa (笹) had become passable.

Announced sections

• Route 465 at Futairi: status as of 13:00.
• Chiba–Kamogawa Road, Prefectural Route 24, part of Sasa: 13:30.
• Boso Skyline, Prefectural Route 92, part of Sasa: 13:30.

Single-lane traffic and other restrictions may remain even where passage is possible. Follow instructions and controls on site.

Other closures remain

Following our earlier report on local-road closures, the city’s 14:30 update still lists closed sections. This announcement does not reopen the full lengths of these roads or all roads in Kimitsu.

Check the city’s road maps and updates. The city warns that unmarked locations may also be impassable.
