Kimitsu closes facilities and cancels events for Typhoon 25; Obitsu fireworks moved to September 26
Kimitsu will close three facilities September 20–21, postpone a water-ski championship and cancel the Obitsu festival. Only the fireworks move to 6 p.m. September 26.
Three facilities closed September 20–21
Kimitsu will close the Rural Environment Improvement Center all day September 20 and 21, the Workers' Welfare Center from noon September 20 through September 21, and Mifune-no-Sato Childcare Support Center all day September 20 because of Typhoon 25.
Obitsu festival canceled
The September 20 Obitsu Furusato Festival is canceled. Only the fireworks are rescheduled for 6 p.m. Saturday, September 26.
