Free family nature event at the Banzu tidal flat
A free nature event at Kaneda Mitate Beach on September 27 invites Kisarazu residents to help install clam-protection netting and observe tidal-flat wildlife.

A family nature event will be held at the Kaneda Mitate Beach clam-digging area in Kisarazu from 9:30 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. on Sunday, September 27, 2026. The free event marks the establishment of Kisarazu Seven Sea Forest.
Clam conservation and wildlife observation
After a talk about Tokyo Bay and local conservation work, participants will help install protective netting for clam resources and observe creatures living on the tidal flat. Life jackets can be borrowed free of charge. Foot-washing facilities, changing rooms and a paid hot shower are available.
Twenty Kisarazu residents accepted
The event is open to Kisarazu residents, with 20 places available on a first-come basis. Applications close Monday, September 21. Bring work gloves, a drink, towel, hat and change of clothes. Clothing that limits exposed skin and marine shoes are required; beach sandals are not permitted. See the Kisarazu City notice for the application form and severe-weather arrangements.
