Mitate Autumn Festival brings mikoshi, dancing and Yassai Mossai to Kisarazu
The Mitate district of Kisarazu holds its autumn festival on September 19, with a barrel mikoshi procession, seaside stalls, stage performances and a Yassai Mossai dance finale.
Mitate festival on September 19
The 14th Mitate District Autumn Festival will be held in Kisarazu on Saturday, September 19, 2026. The community-led celebration also welcomes first-time visitors.
Barrel mikoshi by day and seaside stalls from evening
A barrel-style portable shrine will travel through the neighborhood during the day. From evening, Mitate Beach will host festival stalls and events, including taiko drumming, dance performances and food trucks.
A Yassai Mossai finale
