Umenoya

Umenoya (梅乃家) is a local ramen restaurant in Takeoka, Futtsu, and is regarded as one of the originators of Takeoka ramen, known for its dark soup made by diluting the liquid used to braise chashu pork with hot water. It is open from 10:00 to 18:00 on weekdays and from 10:00 to 17:00 on weekends and public holidays, but closes when the chashu sells out, so arriving late carries a risk of missing out. It is closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, with occasional temporary closures. The restaurant suits travelers who want to try a local flavor while driving from the Kisarazu or Kimitsu area, and can be combined with a stop at Tokyo Bay Ferry's Kanaya Port or sightseeing at Mount Nokogiri.
