Futtsu opens holiday disaster-certificate desk; certified disaster waste accepted free
Apply on September 23, 09:00–16:30, at City Hall counter 8. Call the Environment Center before bringing waste and take the required certificate.
Futtsu will accept disaster-damage certificate applications on September 23, a public holiday, for homes and other property affected by the September 21 typhoon and related disasters.
Certificate applications
Visit the Taxation Division, counter 8 on the first floor of City Hall, 09:00–16:30. Weekday hours are the same. Check the city requirements for ID, damage photos and documents appropriate to your certificate. Inquiries: 0439-80-1242.
Disaster waste
The Environment Center accepts furniture, appliances, tatami, clothing and bedding from certified damaged properties without a disposal charge. Call 0439-37-2020 before delivery and bring the disaster-damage certificate or damage-notification certificate.
Reception: Monday–Saturday, 09:00–16:00, excluding 12:00–13:00. Location: Futtsu Environment Center, 桜井総稱鬼泪山8番地1.
Equipment for flooded homes
The city offers two backpack-powered sprayers on loan, with disinfectant and fuel, for homes flooded above or below floor level. Availability must be checked. Apply to Environmental Conservation, counter 9, on weekdays 09:00–16:30, or call 0439-80-1273.
Loans last two days including collection day; if day two is a weekend or holiday, return is due the next opening day. Older people living alone or in elderly-only households who need help can consult the same division.
