Try sports activities on Japan's Sports Day
Futtsu City will hold Futtsu Fureai Sports Festa 2026 on Monday, October 12. Advance-entry activities include a rugby clinic, track events, ground golf and slacklining. Same-day activities are scheduled to include ball toss, a preschool race, Mölkky and fitness checks.
Advance entry closes October 2
Registration for activities requiring advance entry runs from September 1 through October 2. Times and eligibility vary by activity. See the official Futtsu City page for forms and requirements.
Food trucks are scheduled too
A food-truck festival is scheduled from 9:00 to 16:00 outside NIPPON STEEL Baseball Stadium and will be cancelled in rain. Venue, check-in time, what to bring and weather arrangements differ by activity, so check the official update before travelling.
