All-Japan Water Ski Championships at Kori Dam in Kimitsu, September 19–23
The 72nd Katsuranomiya Cup All-Japan Water Ski Championships will take place at Kori Dam in Kimitsu. Practice is scheduled for September 19 and competition for September 20–23. Spectators may not enter the dam grounds.

The 72nd Katsuranomiya Cup All-Japan Water Ski Championships will be held at Kori Dam in Kimitsu from Saturday, September 19 through Wednesday, September 23, 2026. It is the national championship's first return to Kimitsu in three years and its second event here after 2023.

- Sunday, September 20–Wednesday, September 23: competition
- Sunday, September 20 at 2:00 p.m. (scheduled): opening ceremony
- Wednesday, September 23: awards ceremony
Slalom, trick and jump
The program includes slalom, which tests speed and precision around buoys; trick, which rewards difficult rotations and other maneuvers; and jump, which measures distance. The men's and women's open-class winners receive the Katsuranomiya Cup, and performances at this officially sanctioned competition can qualify as Japanese records.
Watching the event
Visitors may not enter the Kori Dam grounds to watch during the event. September 19 is listed as practice on the official schedule, but this does not mean the venue is open to spectators. Check Kimitsu City's latest notice before traveling to the area.
