Sodegaura accepts disaster-certificate applications on weekends through October 4
From September 26, a support desk at City Hall South Building 1F opens daily from 09:00 to 16:30, including weekends.
Sodegaura will open a support desk for people affected by Typhoon No. 25 from Saturday, September 26 through Sunday, October 4. Disaster-certificate applications will be accepted daily, including weekends, from 09:00 to 16:30.
South Building 1F, public exchange space
The desk is in the public exchange space on the first floor of City Hall’s South Building, 1-1 Sakadoichiba. This differs from the regular Community Welfare Division counter in the North Building. Telephone inquiries: 0438-62-2111.
The desk handles applications and issuance for dwelling-damage certificates, damage-notification receipts and agricultural disaster certificates, distributes sandbags and accepts damage-related consultations. Applying does not guarantee same-day issuance.
Preparing a dwelling-damage application
City guidance lists an application form, identification and damage photographs. Representatives also need authorization and other required documents. Photographs are not mandatory if the city conducts an on-site inspection; when printing is difficult, photos can be shown on a smartphone or similar device.
