Uchibo Line Chikura–Awa-Kamogawa suspended for about two weeks
The Uchibo Line will be suspended between Chikura and Awa-Kamogawa for about two weeks from September 9 after a landslide. Replacement buses run from 07:00 to 20:00.

JR East says Uchibo Line service between Chikura and Awa-Kamogawa will remain suspended for about two weeks from September 9, 2026, after a heavy-rain landslide between Emi and Futomi.
Replacement buses from 07:00 to 20:00
Replacement buses operate between Chikura and Awa-Kamogawa from 07:00 to 20:00 until trains resume. Capacity is limited, waits may occur and journeys can take longer than by train.
Trains still serve the Kazusa cities
Trains operate through Kisarazu, Kimitsu and Futtsu toward Tateyama and Chikura. Passengers continuing to Awa-Kamogawa must change to a bus at Chikura. Check JR East before travel.
