Kisarazu and Kimitsu lift evacuation instructions; Sodegaura landslide zones remain at Level 5

Kisarazu and Kimitsu announced evacuation instructions lifted on September 22. Futtsu has lifted all evacuation information. Sodegaura retains Level 5 Emergency Safety Measures in landslide warning and special warning zones.
City-by-city announcements
- Kisarazu: an official email received at 10:49 announced Level 4 instructions lifted and all shelters closed.
- Kimitsu: an official email received at 11:10 announced all evacuation instructions lifted, following the earlier lifting for flood zones at 08:10.
- Futtsu: emails received at 08:17 and 08:47 announced all evacuation information lifted and all shelters closed.
- Sodegaura: river-related orders were lifted. Its 07:05 announcement retains Level 5 in landslide warning and special warning zones.
On September 21, emergency safety measures had been issued for risk areas in Sodegaura and flood zones in Kimitsu’s Koito district. Lifting evacuation instructions does not mean roads, electricity or water are fully restored. Kimitsu urges continued attention to landslides, rivers and weather.
