Tateyama and Ken-O expressway closures; Route 127 restricted near Kanaya
The September 21 8 a.m. announcement lists closures around Kisarazu and Futtsu. The Aqua-Line sea crossing may close from 4 p.m.
NEXCO's September 21 8 a.m. update confirms rain-related closures, following the earlier warning of possible restrictions.
Closed sections
- Tateyama Expressway: Kisarazu-Kita–Futtsu-Takeoka and Kisarazu-Minami JCT–Kisarazu-Minami, both ways, from 5:32 a.m.
- Ken-O: Togane IC/JCT–Kisarazu JCT, both ways, closed in stages from 10:48 p.m. September 20. Kisarazu-Higashi–Kisarazu JCT closed at 5:32 a.m. September 21.
- Aqua-Line connecting road: Sodegaura–Kisarazu JCT, both ways, from 5:32 a.m.
Sea crossing and Route 127
Kawasaki-Ukishima JCT–Sodegaura may close due to wind from 4 p.m.; this is distinct from the connecting road already closed.
Futtsu's 5:42 a.m. notice also restricts roughly 1.5 km of Route 127 from Kanaya to Motona in Kyonan, between the Tateyama side of Motona No.2 Tunnel and the Kisarazu side of Myogane Tunnel. It cannot serve as a through detour.
