Uchibo and Kururi lines suspended all day September 22
All services between Chiba and Awa-Kamogawa and between Kisarazu and Kazusa-Kameyama are cancelled; no replacement transport is provided.
JR East says the entire Uchibo and Kururi lines will be suspended throughout September 22, with no replacement transport on either line.
Affected routes
Uchibo: Chiba–Awa-Kamogawa, due to soil entering the tracks between Anegasaki and Nagaura. Kururi: Kisarazu–Kazusa-Kameyama, due to the typhoon.
This was confirmed in JR's September 21 evening information, timestamped 18:36 for Uchibo and 18:44 for Kururi. The earlier warning of possible morning disruption on the 22nd has changed to all-day cancellations.
Travel tonight and tomorrow
On September 21, Uchibo services between Chiba and Kimitsu are suspended with no reopening estimate; all remaining services between Kimitsu and Awa-Kamogawa and on Kururi are cancelled.
Highway buses are also affected. Kominato's September 21 update at 14:40 cancels Kisarazu–Kawasaki services from the 12:45 Kisarazu and 14:15 Kawasaki departures, and Kisarazu–Yokohama, Haneda and Shinagawa services departing from 13:30, for the rest of that day. These are September 21 plans, not a guarantee of service on September 22.
