KOKICHI, in Aoki, Futtsu City, is a specialty shop that opened in August 2025 serving the local specialty Takeoka-style ramen. It is open from 9:30 to 15:00, but closes as soon as the soup and noodles run out, so arriving right after opening is the safest way to be sure of getting a bowl. It is closed Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays (though it does open some Saturdays depending on the month), does not take reservations, and seating is on a first-come, first-served basis. It is a small shop with 7 counter seats, accepts cash only (no electronic money or credit cards), and is entirely non-smoking inside. There are 4 parking spaces in front of the shop, and since it is about a 25-minute walk from Aobori Station on the Uchibo Line, arriving by car is the more realistic option.
