Kisarazu, Kimitsu and Futtsu buses: September 26 detours, skipped stops and boarding points

If you are taking a bus around Kisarazu, Kimitsu or Futtsu on Saturday, September 26, check both whether the service runs and whether you can board and get off at your usual stop. Detours and shortened routes remain after Typhoon No. 25.

This guide brings together Nitto Kotsu's September 26 operating plan, updated on the evening of September 25, for Tokyo, Futtsu, Kimitsu and Kamogawa. It covers the routes in that notice, not all bus operators or JR services.

Three important changes for September 26

• Kisarazu–Tokyo: buses skip Kimitsu Seitetsujo, Higashimon Iriguchi and Kosoku Sakurai all day.
• Kisarazu–Futtsu: buses in both directions skip the section from Chuo-mon Iriguchi to Sakurai Higashimachi, including intermediate stops.
• Capina: services are scheduled to resume with the first departure, but no stops will be served between Takaya and Sasa. Resuming service does not mean all stops have reopened.

Nitto Kotsu plans normal service on routes not listed in its notice, while warning that major delays or additional cancellations may occur. This is a summary of the operating plan, not a guarantee of departures, arrivals or seats.

Skipped stops toward Tokyo, Futtsu and Kimitsu

For example, even though the Kisarazu–Futtsu service runs, you cannot board or alight at intermediate stops such as Hatazawa or Kohama in the affected section. Check your own starting and finishing stops, not just the route's endpoints. The stop sequence is shown in the official Kisarazu–Futtsu timetable.

If your usual stop is skipped on the way home from Tokyo, plan the final leg of your trip as well. Arrange a pickup only after confirming which stop you can use.

Capina and shortened services in the hills

Capina, linking Kamogawa and Chiba, is scheduled to resume from the first departure on September 26, but the Takaya–Sasa section is bypassed with no stops. See the earlier reopening report and check Nitto Kotsu's daily notice before leaving.

Some routes toward the hills of Kimitsu and Futtsu still turn back before their usual destinations.

• Susai route: operates between the Kimitsu Station side and Nakajima. The notice says Horinouchi–Seiwa Kominkan is not served.
• Kanozan route: operates between Sanukimachi Station and Iwatomi Minamiguchi. Listing the route as operating does not mean it runs all the way toward Kanozan.

Do not plan to walk onward from the shortened section without confirming a safe way to your destination. A road reopening and restoration of every bus stop or the full route need not happen at the same time.

Main boarding points at Kisarazu and Kimitsu stations

Nitto Kotsu's route guide lists the Futtsu route at Kisarazu Station west exit, stand 7, and the Kisarazu–Kamogawa route at stand 3. At Kimitsu Station, the city loop uses north-exit stands 1 and 2, while the Susai route uses south-exit stand 1. Choosing the wrong side of a station adds walking time.

These are the regular boarding points in the route guide. Check local signs or staff instructions for changes on the day. Passengers connecting from Sodegaura should check their feeder service and onward bus separately.

Saturday timetables and the return journey

September 26 is a Saturday. First check whether a PDF linked from a service notice is for weekdays or weekends and holidays. The Kisarazu–Tokyo link includes a table labelled “weekday”; the Kisarazu–Futtsu table marks trips that do not run on weekends and holidays. A printed departure time alone does not establish that a bus runs that day.

1. Check the official service notice for your route and stops.
2. Read the weekend/holiday timetable, operating-day notes and direction.
3. Confirm the return service and drop-off stop, then arrange connections or pickup.

Allow extra time for finding your boarding point and waiting, especially when connecting. Avoid prolonged pickup stops near bus stops, and decide how you will get home before leaving.
