JR confirms Uchibo Line service from Kisarazu to Awa-Kamogawa will resume with the first trains September 26

At 21:00 on September 25, JR East announced that Uchibo Line service between Kisarazu and Awa-Kamogawa will resume with the first trains on September 26. Earlier notices had described reopening as an expectation.

Anegasaki–Kisarazu remains suspended

The restart covers the section south of Kisarazu. Recovery between Anegasaki and Kisarazu is still expected to take at least about three months. Replacement buses from September 28 onward remain under consideration, with frequency and boarding points not yet announced.

Chiba–Anegasaki is running about 30% of normal service during morning and evening periods. Both directions of the September 26 B.B.BASE Tateyama service are cancelled throughout. This announcement does not mean normal service across the entire Uchibo Line.
