Capina buses remain cancelled September 25, with a diverted return planned for September 26. Kururi Sake Museum plans to reopen September 25.

TEPCO's 06:59 display showed around 1,760 premises without power in Kisarazu, 340 in Sodegaura, 1,800 in Kimitsu and 280 in Futtsu. Recovery varies by area.

September 24, 19:18 update: cancellations, bathing support and September 25 buses

• The Kimitsu festival and Ballpark Street on September 26, and fireworks on October 3, are cancelled. Cancelled events and contact.

Hatazawa and Koitogawa Loop buses resumed normal service from September 24's first departures. Kimitsu has five emergency water sites, with Seiwa Elementary School closed. Mikazuki bathing support has started and three Kisarazu charging centers are open until 21:30 today.

Sodegaura closed the Negata and Hirakawa voluntary shelters on the morning of September 24. The Civic Hall (Showa Community Center), Hiraoka and Nagaura centers remain open as shelters.

TEPCO's September 24, 16:54 figures show approximately 1,920 premises without power in Kisarazu, 340 in Sodegaura, 2,340 in Kimitsu and 1,000 in Futtsu. Restoration in some neighborhoods does not mean citywide restoration.

JMA's September 24, 16:10 update shows no alert-level-equivalent information for the four cities. Its ordinary warning/advisory display, updated at 10:00, also shows none. This does not mean road restrictions or recovery needs have ended.

Tokyo German Village resumed normal opening hours on September 24. Some restaurants and the Kids Coaster remain unavailable; check the park's current notice before visiting.

TEPCO's September 23, 19:04 display lists approximately 2,450 affected properties in Kisarazu, 1,320 in Sodegaura, 1,450 in Kimitsu and 900 in Futtsu. Figures change as repairs progress.

Kimitsu's 18:45 notice says Route 465 at Uehata and Prefectural Road 93 at Nishiawakura are passable. Route 127 at Kitakoyasu has only one lane available, not a full reopening.

September 23, 15:12 update: support and transport

Charging in Kimitsu, Sodegaura and Futtsu, and free bathing in Kisarazu have been announced. Bring charging equipment or a towel; hours vary by facility.

Mishima buses restart with the 15:00 Kisarazu West Exit departure; Kimitsu City Loop resumed this morning, according to Nitto's 14:30 notice. Some routes remain suspended.

NEXCO's 01:10 notice confirms that Keno Expressway between Matsuo-Yokoshiba and Kisarazu-Higashi reopened in both directions at 00:00, and Tateyama Expressway between Kisarazu-Minami JCT and Futtsu-Takeoka in both directions at 01:10 on September 23. This supersedes the earlier reopening estimates below.

Because Route 127 at Kanaya–Motona is closed, travel between Futtsu-Takeoka and Kyonan-Hota, or Futtsu-Kanaya and Kyonan-Hota, is free from September 23, 00:00 until that Route 127 closure ends. All vehicle classes and ETC/general lanes qualify. Other entry/exit combinations or travel beyond those sections do not qualify, including Futtsu-Takeoka–Futtsu-Kanaya alone. Official conditions.

September 23, 07:16 — Rail and facility updates

JR’s morning notices restore reduced Uchibo service between Chiba and Anegasaki, but suspend Anegasaki–Awa-Kamogawa and the entire Kururi Line all day without replacement transport. Anegasaki–Kisarazu and the entire Kururi Line are expected to remain suspended from September 24 for the time being (Uchibo 06:44; Kururi 07:00). Official transport information

Tokyo German Village announces closure today because power was still out at 06:30. APITA Kisarazu’s official store page also announces temporary closure due to the typhoon; an event listing does not establish that the store is open.

Mother Farm reports Route 93 reopened. From Kimitsu, use Tokoshiro intersection–Routes 163 and 93; from Tateyama, Minato intersection–Route 93. Large buses may use only the Kimitsu approach. On September 23, the Kimitsu bus route runs normally and the Sanuki route is cancelled (road notice as of September 22, 17:30; September 23 bus notice).

September 23, 07:03 — Road and bus reopening

Boso Skyline is passable throughout, according to Kimitsu’s September 22, 20:30 announcement. This supersedes the no-through-passage situation below at 19:13. Single-lane restrictions may remain.

Kimitsu–Tokyo/Haneda buses return from the first September 23 departures. The 07:21 Kimitsu departure for Tokyo is cancelled. Kisarazu–Tokyo skips some stops; Kisarazu–Futtsu and other routes remain undecided. This reflects Nitto’s 06:21 update; check your route before travel.

Updated September 22, 19:13

NEXCO’s 18:30 announcement says both directions of the Ken-O Expressway between Kisarazu-higashi IC and Kisarazu JCT reopened at 15:00. Reopening is expected on September 23 morning for Tateyama Expressway Kisarazu-minami JCT–Futtsu-takeoka IC and Ken-O Matsuo-yokoshiba IC–Kisarazu-higashi IC, both directions. These are estimates, not confirmed reopenings.

Kimitsu has six emergency water stations, until 20:00 today, with 09:00–20:00 planned from September 23. Matsuoka and Kameyama also have outages. Bring containers and check routes and service.

Nagaura shelter has closed. The city’s 17:15 email says Civic Hall and Hiraoka remain open.

Sodegaura disaster-waste intake starts September 24, with certificate-based fee exemption and a temporary photo exception. See the four-city recovery guide, including Futtsu’s September 23 desk.

Boso Skyline has no through passage toward Kamogawa or Seiwa. Route 410 from Tabina to the Kamogawa boundary is reported passable.

JR Uchibo (18:33) and Kururi (18:19) notices continue all-day suspension for September 22. They do not establish September 23 service. Transport

September 22, 15:07 — Evacuation, recovery and support

Sodegaura announced all evacuation information lifted in its 14:20 email. Civic Hall and Nagaura and Hiraoka exchange centers remain open as shelters; Negata and Hirakawa are closed. Kisarazu, Kimitsu and Futtsu had announced their orders lifted in the morning.

Futtsu will accept disaster-certificate applications on September 23, 09:00–16:30, at City Hall counter 8. Disaster waste from certified damaged properties is accepted without a disposal charge after advance contact with the Environment Center and presentation of the certificate. Kimitsu also asks applicants to preserve damage photos.

Route 465 at Futairi and parts of Route 24 and Boso Skyline at Sasa are passable. Single-lane restrictions may remain; other closures continue.

JR Uchibo’s 14:53 notice and Kururi’s 10:06 notice confirm all-day suspension on September 22 with no replacement transport. Kisarazu's 10:49 email announced evacuation instructions lifted and all shelters closed. Kimitsu's 11:10 email lifted all evacuation instructions. Futtsu has lifted all evacuation information. Sodegaura's landslide zones remain at Level 5. City-by-city details.

About 650 homes in Seiwa are without water. Emergency supply at Seiwa Elementary School began at 09:00; two planned points in Oiwa and Shukubara await road access. Water collection and containers.

Earlier announcements and updates

Updated September 22 at 9:45 a.m.

Futtsu lifted all evacuation orders and advisories by 8:17 a.m. and closed every shelter it had opened by 8:47 a.m. Kimitsu and Sodegaura also lifted flood-related evacuation orders around 8:10 a.m., but landslide-risk areas remain under a Level 4 evacuation order in Kimitsu and Level 5 Emergency Safety Measures in Sodegaura. Kisarazu also keeps a Level 4 order for landslide and flood-risk areas and a citywide Level 3 order in effect. Check evacuation information and shelters for the current areas and open shelters.

Power outages have broken out or spread since around 9 a.m. in Kisarazu, Kimitsu, Sodegaura and Futtsu. Each city says TEPCO is working on restoration and warns residents to stay away from cut or dangling power lines. Check TEPCO outage information for outages by district.

A damaged water main has cut off water supply in the Seiwa district of Kimitsu; emergency water distribution began at 9 a.m. at Seiwa Elementary School. The Kazusa Regional Water Supply Authority says it will announce other locations once road safety is confirmed.

A landslide has closed the road near Hoki in Kimitsu, on the Koito-Kururi line. The Motona section of Route 127, closed since September 21, also remains closed. The Murata-machi underpass on Route 16 and the Koura section of Route 127 reopened on September 22 after rain-related closures. Latest transport updates

Level 5 Emergency Safety Measures apply to Sodegaura's landslide and river-flood risk zones and Kimitsu's Koito district flood zone. Kisarazu's landslide and flood zones and Futtsu's Minato River flood zone are under Level 4. The 18:55 Level 3 announcement for Kimitsu district does not lift Level 5 in Koito.

Sodegaura's 13:30 official email asks residents to reduce wastewater until the rain eases because rainwater is entering the sewer system: avoid draining bathtubs and using washing machines, and conserve water when washing dishes.

September 21 morning announcements and updates

JR East's 11:22 a.m. information cancels all September 21 trains between Kimitsu and Awa-Kamogawa, with no replacement transport. Some Chiba–Kimitsu trains are also cancelled.

Kimitsu announced that Koito Elementary School will open as an additional shelter at noon. Level 3 evacuation for older people and others needing extra time also applies to Seiwa's flood-risk areas. Roads near Nakamura Bridge in Oi and Nakajima are closed due to heavy rain.

Evacuation areas

• Kimitsu: Level 4 orders cover flood-risk areas in Koito, Obitsu and Kazusa, and designated landslide-risk areas citywide. Orders were issued at 2:20, 8:10 and 5:30 a.m., respectively.
• Sodegaura: Level 4 covers designated landslide-risk areas citywide and Obitsu River flood-risk areas. Other river flood-risk areas are at Level 3, evacuation for older people and others needing extra time.
• Futtsu: Level 4 applies to designated landslide-risk areas citywide.
• Kisarazu: Level 3 applies to designated landslide-risk areas citywide.

These orders concern the specified hazard zones, not every home in each city. Check municipal maps and shelter information. Sodegaura advises moving upstairs or to a room away from slopes when going outdoors is unsafe.

Travel disruptions

Parts of the Uchibo Line are already suspended; Kimitsu–Awa-Kamogawa is scheduled to stop around 2 p.m. through the last train. The Kururi Line is suspended all day. Expressways and Route 127 also have closures.
